Are you looking for the perfect bag for your days out skiing on the slopes, ski touring or snowboarding? We’ll help you find the bag that suits you best
Depending on what you’re going to do with your backpack, you’ll have a range of different needs. We’ll help you decide what’s important to you so you can find the right backpack model.
I need a bag to take my picnic while downhill skiing
For your days in the mountains, on the slopes, your needs are simple: your bag lets you carry something to eat: water, snacks, picnic, an extra layer and a ski mask in case the weather changes. No need for a complicated or particularly technical bag. Your classic hiking backpack will do the trick.
I need a backpack with ski or board holder for freeriding
Are you going to take on the mountains for some freeriding and plan to walk before finding your spot? A backpack with ski or board holder is ideal for you. We have even added a back protector to some of our freeride bags to protect you on your snowboard or ski descents.
I need a bag that keeps me safe off-piste
Are you going off-piste and want to complete your safety gear with a backpack that can help you in the event of an avalanche? We thought of you when designing our airbag backpack. It lets you carry all your safety equipment and helps you by inflating when you trigger it in the event of an avalanche.
I need a light, efficient bag for ski touring
In ski touring, every gram counts. So you’ll need a lightweight backpack, but one with a spacious main compartment to carry your safety equipment and everything you need for your ski tour.
Are you looking for a bag designed for sports and everyday use in winter?
We designed our bags to be waterproof and usable every day. This saves having to have multiple backpacks! So, we provide a laptop pocket in our freeride ski backpacks.
Capacity:
Depending on what you’re carrying, you’ll opt for a larger or smaller capacity (size of the backpack). For a day’s ski touring, we generally recommend a 25-litre bag, and if you know your needs perfectly you can choose a smaller one. But of course, you must always set off with your safety equipment.
Male/female size and morphology:
Some backpacks are designed to adapt to the shape and size of the wearer. Women's backpacks are notably a little wider at the hips and narrower at the shoulders. We developed these backpack models by studying the physiology of hikers and skiers to offer them bags better suited to their needs.
Here are all the options available on our backpack models. They are there to make life easier by offering you specifically what you need!
Ski or snowboard attachments
They let you put your skis or snowboard on your backpack. Perfect for carrying your equipment easily and heading off on freeride hikes.
Helmet carrier
Like the ski and snowboard attachments, the helmet carrier lets you attach your helmet to your bag, freeing your hands and the space inside your backpack!
Crampon pocket
Crampons let you safely reach areas of hard snow or ice, whether you’re going for a freeride or ski touring trip out. The crampon pocket lets you store them easily and have them quickly to hand for your days in the mountains!
Ice axe attachment
Likewise, if you’re planning a day hiking in the snow, you’ll need ice axes to stay safe. So make sure you have a bag that lets you attach them to the outside.
Safety pocket
To have your safety equipment close at hand for your days skiing in the mountains, choose a bag model equipped with a safety pocket. You can slip in your snow shovel, probe and avalanche victim search device.
Water bag
A classic option for sports backpacks, the water bladder pocket means you can secure your water bag to your back, and take out the drinking tube via a small opening in the bag.
You now have all the different things to consider when choosing your ski or snowboard backpack. The main thing is to find the backpack (or backpacks) that suit your needs to make the most of your mountain outings.
